Craft Room Clean Out Part Two

Two weeks ago, I shared part one of my craft room clean out, and today I am back for another installment!

After I finished my desk area, I moved on to this trouble spot underneath a small desk:

There was a lot of stuff piled under there.

I took everything out, sorted it, and ended up with this:

Much nicer!

I also completely emptied and sorted a tall plastic drawer unit that was to the right of the desk.

You can kind of see it buried in this before picture (with the blue box and paper flower on top):

It was mainly filled with kid projects/memorabilia, so that took quite some doing.

I quickly gave the drawer to my son, so that I wouldn’t be tempted to fill it back up again! 🙂

I also gave my stash of cards a makeover.

I have made a lot of cards over the years, and not all of them have had a specific purpose, so they filled bins, boxes, etc. around my craft room.

Here is the before of just some of those piles (you can see the plastic bin unit I emptied in the background of this first picture):

Sigh. Do you ever go back and look at pictures and wonder what the heck you were thinking???? Yep, that’s me right now.

I had a nice box meant just for keeping cards that I had never used, so I took the time to sort and organize, and although I still have one plastic bin for oversized cards and mini cards that didn’t fit, here is what the rest looks like:

Here are some of the containers I emptied:

So much better, and now I can actually find things, and cards aren’t getting ruined. Amazing how that works.

Well, those big projects took quite a bit of time, but I am so happy with the results!

I am still working on the mammoth project that is my craft room, but I will be sure to share more here as things progress.

Have a great day!
