Ally’s Angels February Challenge!

It’s time for another challenge at Ally’s Angels!

Our theme for February is as always-Anything Goes.

Lately I have working on a giant craft room purge, and I am starting to see what I really have!

So, I pulled out my new embellishment bin (everything is in one place-so nice!), some journaling cards, a leftover piece of Crate Paper woodgrain paper, and made some encouragement cards for my kiddos.

For this first one, I used the woodgrain paper, a digital journaling card I had printed long ago (floral), and a regular journaling card as well. I cut apart an MFT sentiment and stamped it with my MISTI. Then, I added a piece of flair from Studio Calico.

It came together quickly, and I really like how it turned out:

For my second card, I used an old journaling card that someone had sent me with a note written on the back. The front was still useable though, so I put it to good use! I added a very old My Mind’s Eye die cut, some ancient Jenni Bowlin buttons, and the woodgrain paper. I popped up the die cut with some old chipboard packaging, which is a great thing to have if you are almost out of foam tape like me!

I rounded two corners with a punch, and added some dashed lines too.

Here is the card:

For my third card, I used another digital journaling card I had printed out, the woodgrain paper, and a few tiny star stickers. I popped up my panel using more of the old chipboard packaging and doodled around the edges with a black pen.

Here is how it turned out:

So, there you go-some simple cards that use up my stash, and now I can give them to my kids!

That’s it for now, but I hope you find time to do something fun today, and feel free to join us for this month’s challenge. You have until March 9th, so there’s plenty of time!
