Hello It’s Valentine’s Day Card

Hello!

I decided it would be fun to enter the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge, so here is my card:

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Scent with Love Add-on (skunk, heart, “valentine’s day”), Sewn with Love (“it’s”), Village Shops (exclamation point); Dies: Lawn Fawn (Large Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Hillside Borders), Waffle Flower (Oversized Hello); Stencil: Dylusions Small Love Hearts; Oxide Inks: Antique Linen, Kitsch Flamingo; Distress Ink: Gathered Twigs; Markers: Spectrum Noir (IG8, IG10, PL1, PL2, Clear Glitter), Copic (C3); Other: Marbled Pink Card Stock

To make this card, I started with a panel of pink marbled card stock. I stenciled hearts on top, then die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle. I then inked and die cut a little hillside for my skunk.

I stamped and colored the skunk and balloon, and then cut them out by hand.

I die cut my large sentiment, and then laid out all the pieces for placement, so that I knew where to stamp my sentiment. My sentiment is pieced together from a few different sets, which made my MISTI come in really handy when I was ready to stamp!

Finally, I adhered all of my pieces, and added some glitter pen to the heart.

So, there you go! I am pretty happy with how it turned out and look forward to sending it off in the mail!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Book Review-Cold Light of Day

Cold Light of Day is a suspense novel written by Elizabeth Goddard. It is book one in the Missing in Alaska series.

Summary: Police Chief Autumn Long only wants the best for her small sleepy little town of Shadow Gap, Alaska. But there are some that aren’t so happy she is the chief and are just looking for an excuse to get her fired.

When a sudden crime wave occurs, Autumn is not sure who to trust. Can Grier Brenner, a newcomer to town, be someone she can lean on to help?

Or will his secrets threaten to destroy them all?

My Thoughts: I really liked Autumn and Grier. They are well-written characters and have a good dynamic. I liked the quirky town characters as well. It’s always nice when a small town starts to feel like one of the characters in the story.

The plot is filled with action and mystery that keep the story going at a break-neck pace. I liked the story overall, felt it was well-written, and would recommend it as a quick and enjoyable read.

It’s not one I would buy, but I did enjoy it, and will probably read the next one because I really liked the characters.

I would like to thank Revell for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you.

**Please note: This book will be released on February 7, 2023.
